UFI is the abbreviation of the Union of International Fairs. At the 70th General Assembly in Cairo on October 20, 2003, the organization decided to change its name to The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, still referred to as UFI, which is by far the most important international organization in the world's exhibition industry.

UFI is composed of exhibition organizers and exhibition center operators in the world, as well as selected partners of major national and international exhibition associations and exhibition industry. Its main objective is to represent, promote and support the commercial interests of its members and the exhibition industry. UFI directly represents more than 50000 employees in the exhibition industry worldwide, and also works closely with members of 67 national and regional associations.

At present, nearly 900 member organizations from 83 countries have signed up to become members. This is the quality assurance for visitors and exhibitors. UFI members continue to provide a unique marketing platform for the international business community, aiming to develop excellent face-to-face business opportunities.
