On the morning of April 19, a signing ceremony was held for co-building Zhijiang College by Shaoxing county and Zhejiang University of Technology, which made Shaoxing county fulfilling the dream building a local institute of higher learning.

　　Zhejiang University of Technology is a comprehensive university at provincial level, ranking only second to Zhejiang University in the province. Zhijiang College, approved by the Ministry of Education in China, is an college of Zhejiang University of Technology, listed as the best independent college in Zhejiang province only second to Zhejiang University City College.

　　According to the insiders, the relocation of Zhijiang College into Shaoxing county demonstrates 10 years in advance for Shaoxing county to build a high level institute of higher learning.

　　According to the proposal, Zhijiang College of Zhejiang University of Technology in Shaoxing county will be located near Daban lake, on the north of Qunxian Road and the west of Kehua Road, occupying a total area of 600 mou ( including 360 mou of Shaoxing County Vocational Education Center), 220 mou water coverage, and the construction area 220,000 m2(100,000 m2 from Shaoxing County Vocational Education Center).

　　The total investment assets and capital of Zhijiang College will hit 1.07 billion yuan, with 0.52 billion yuan of assets, and 0.55 billion yuan of newly inputted capital for the expropriation of land and school building.

　　The enrollment scale of Zhijiang College will increase gradually, about 2200 in September, 2012, and amounting to 8,800 after completely moving into Shaoxing county in September, 2016 in four years.

　　“The relocation of Zhijiang College will change the history of Keqiao. There will be a complete education system from preschool education to institute of higher learning.” Mr. Jiang Honggang, a person in charge of Shaoxing County Education Bureau, remarked happily.（By  Chen Fang）
