Shaoxing County Statistic Bureau released the key data of the 6th national population census (2010): up till 0 o’clock on November 1, 2010, the permanent population in Shaoxing county hit 1.0308 million with an increase of 0.239 million and a percentage of 30.18 % during the past ten years, among which the population from other provinces is 0.3644 million, accounting for 35.35%.

　　There are 0.3651 million families totaling 0.9466 million permanent population in Shaoxing county, with averagely 2.59 persons in each family. The total male population is 0.5264 million and female 0.5044 million, with the sex ratio 104.35.

　　As for the age structure, 0.1282 million population are over 60 years, accounting for 12.44%, 0.0822 million over 65 years, accounting for 7.97%, with an increase of 0.45% and a decrease of 0.92% respectively compared with the data 10 years ago.

　　As for the distribution area, 0.691 million are urban population, accounting for 67.03%, and 0.3398 million in rural, accounting for 32.96%. Compared with the data ten years ago, i.e., the 5th national population census in 2000, 0.4678 million are increased in towns and cities, and 0.2936 million are decreased in rural areas. The urban population ratio has been increased 38.85% spread in 19 towns(quarters) in Shaoxing county. Keqiao quarter has the largest population of 123,230, Qianqing town ranks as the second, and Fusheng town, the smallest with a population of only 19,012.
