China Cup International Fashion Design Contest honored as “the Cradle of Fashion Designers” will be held in Keqiao. On July 18, the first contest in Keqiao---the final ladies’ wear contest of China International Fashion Design Contest will be held in the Fashion Release Hall of China Textile City.

China Cup International Fashion Design Contest started in 1995 and is held one time each year. Sponsored by Shanghai Municipal Government and the organizing committee of Shanghai International Clothing Culture Festival, the contest is a professional international contest, covering women’s wear, men’s wear, underwear and children’s wear. This contest is the 16th China International Fashion Design Contest held by Shaoxing Textile and Fashion Designers Association and the organizing committee of China International Fashion Design Contest.

Introduced by the relevant responsible person of the organizing committee, for 15 years, “China Cup” has selected out lots of excellent fashion designers such as Wu Haiyan, Wu Xuekai, Qi Gang, Zhang Jicheng and Ji Wenbo, so the contest is honored as “the Cradle of Fashion Designers” in the fashion circle and is becoming the most vigorous, influential and popular fashion design contest. The contestants not only are the students of the domestic colleges and professional designers, but also the fashion designers from Italy, France, USA, Japan, South Korea and other countries.

Chen Qimiao, vice president of Shaoxing Textile and Fashion Designers Association said, the contest will be held in Keqiao, reflecting the influential power of China textile city in China even in the world. We believe that the impact of the industry and fashion will bring Keqiao the immeasurable creative potential.

To prove that Keqiao has the capability to successfully hold the top contest in the domestic fashion circle, Shaoxing Textile and Fashion Designers Association has invested several hundreds thousands yuan to purchase the equipment and design and decorate the Fashion Release Hall in the fourth floor of Clothing and Fashion Accessories Market in order to make it become the first-class domestic fashion show.

The 16th China International Fashion Design Contest sets “Find Out the Color of World Expo” as the theme. After the final ladies’ wear contest, the next several contests such as men’s wear, underwear and children’s wear will be held in mid October. The works winning prizes will be shown in Irish Hall of Shanghai World Expo.

The date is not only the beginning of the contest but also the day to launch Keqiao “Yue Se Ru Shui” International Textile and Clothing Creative Week. Many designers introduced to our county such as Wang Changhong, Zhang Lingli, Jinsui will release their personal fashion show during this period.
