On Aug.28 to Aug. 29, a group of special buyers came into Dongsheng Road Market and Old Market of China Textile City-----the finalists of China Professional Fashion Designers’ Creative Design Contest. They came to China textile city to seek for the suitable fabrics and the creative inspiration for their works.

China Professional Fashion Designers’ Creative Design Contest is sponsored by China Clothes Designers Association and China Textile Newspaper and undertaken by Shaoxing County Government. When the contest launched in March, this year, the organizing committee received thousands of works. Finally, 30 contestants from home and abroad are short-listed. According to the contest rules, contestants searched fabrics in Keqiao and close contacted with China textile city which had over 40000 fashion fabrics.

It is the second time for Xiang Sisi of Hangzhou Longmei Technology Co., Ltd. to participate in the contest. Last year, she is entitled as excellent designer. In the salesrooms named Junyu Textile in Dongsheng Road Market, Xiang Sisi liked a kind of fabric very much in which many technologies was adopted. She said in the trip, she contacted many fabric sellers and improved her capability.

Xia Peng of Shenyang E Pai Textile Studio wanted to find a piece of thin knitted cashmere. He said fabric was the decisive element to the finished product, and China textile city markets were his powerful supporting platforms.

It is introduced that 2010 China Professional Fashion Designers’ Creative Design Contest will be held during 2010 China Keqiao International Textile Expo. In order to highlight the important role that originality takes, the contest set up “outstanding award” with the bonus of 80000 yuan, and provided “zero cost creative studio” free of charge for one year to the finalists who start their business in Keqiao.
