In August, self-support export volume of Shaoxing County hit USD 578 million dollars, which is the third month of export volume exceeding USD 550 million dollars.

　　 From Januray to August, the total amount of self-support export volume of Shaoxing County added up to USD 3.818 billion dollars with the decreasing amplitude of 13.26 % compared with the same period last year. The decreasing amplitude is 3.3%, 6.0% and 8.9% lower than Shaoxing municipality, Zhejiang province and China respectively, which made Shaoxing county ranking as NO.1 in top ten ones in Zhejiang province.

　　 The export trade peaks from June to August which obviously indicates the “warming up” of the economy in Shaoxing County. Five towns and streets such as Keqiao, Hutang, Jidong, Lizhu and Taoyan have realized the positive growth. Take Keqiao Street as an example, its self-support export volume gained USD 780 million dollars from January to August, with the increasing of 10.6% compared with the same period last year.

　　 The monthly growth of garment and textile export since February constitutes the main part of the export of Shaoxing County. From January to August, the garment export volume reached USD 210 million dollars with the increase of 6.3%, while that of China Textile City has realized USD 910 million dollars with the increase of 7.7%. “Textile and garment industry of Shaoxing County has played an more and more important role in export trade, the export volume of garment and textile in the first 7 months account for 92.9% in the total, with the increase of 1.5%.” according to the person in charge from Shaoxing Customs Office.

　　 The export trade companies have accumulated more and more confidence, and the trading companies play an active role in export. 1400 trading companies contributed to the export trade from January to August, among which 159 are newly established.

　　 Under the international financial crisis, how has Shaoxing County kept the NO.1 place? “It results from the contribution of all trades in Shaoxing County by focusing on the policy of ‘keeping the market share, keeping the market and keeping development’.” A person in charge of Shaoxing County Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Bureau said. Confronted with the severe condition, Shaoxing County hosted a series of activities titled with “Fabric——Broadcast Keqiao Textile to the World”, organized enterprises to join the expositions home and abroad to help enterprises to explore the market and win orders.
