Three standards on children's wear, Safety Specifications for Cords and Drawstrings on Children's Clothing, Standard Safety Size for Drawstrings on Children's Upper Wear and Code of Practice for the Design and Manufacture of Children's Clothing to Promote Mechanical Safety, approved and promulgated by General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and Standardization Administration of the Peoples Republic of China, have been effective as of August 1, 2009. This is the first issuance of all these three standards. The introduction of these standards will play an active role in regulating and promoting children's wear market of China.
