According to the Quarantine and Inspection Divisions, Garment Fabric Enterprises shall accept the PH index text from now on, and those unqualified will not be allowed to export.

　　 To improve the quality of exported garment fabric, the Quarantine and Inspection Department will add another test——PH index test to the exported garment fabric, while the PCP index test will be canceled.

　　 According to Shaoxing Quarantine and Inspection Bureau, “PH Test to the exported garment fabric is based on the result of garment survey and inspection in 2008 and analysis to collected data, the unqualified rate of exported garment fabric PCP is low, and it is high for PH index. Therefore,  it is necessary to add PH test.”

　　 The exported garment fabric must accept the PH index test, and the test standard is 4-9 for products not directly touching skin. A preparation period of test has been set from now on to Feb. 1st, 2009 and from Feb. 1st to April 1st is the transition period. From April 1st, the PH index of exported garment fabric shall be implemented according to standard of C of GB 18401-2003 State Textile Product Basic Safety Technique Norm, PH index must meet the standard in GB 18401-2003.
