“Russian market is a big potential market. Now the government has built a platform for us, which encouraged us enterprises to learn new favorable policies and cultivate more interests.” Recently, Shaoxing Commercial Bureau, Shaoxing County Commercial Bureau, and Yiwu Commercial Bureau jointly held an introduction conference titled as “Shaoxing Enterprises Walking into Russia”. The abovementioned words were from Shaoxing Xiangyi Import and Export Co., Ltd.

　　With a great demand in the light industrial products demand including textile products, Russia is an import-oriented country, with the annual volume of import and export per capita hitting USD 600 dollars. In recent years, the bilateral trade and economic relations between China and Russia have been on the way of steady development. The high development speed has been kept for 6 years with five successive years breaking records. China has become the first largest trade partner for Russia in 2010, with the bilateral trade reaching USD 59.34 billion dollars, while it jumped into 8 billion dollars in 2011. After Russia joined WTO in 2011, the total tariff was reduced to 7.8% from 10%.

　　Facing such an attractive market, many enterprises in Shaoxing county showed great enthusiasm in exploring Russian market, and some of them has already been on the way.

　　A total of 554 textile enterprises exported products to Russia last year, and the value of foreign trade hit 0.19 billion dollars, with an increase of 33.1% compared with the same period last year. At the Introduction Conference, the person in charge of Moscow & Yiwu International Commercial Center, as one of the platforms for Shaoxing enterprises “walking into” Russia, made an excellent introduction. The Center has won great support from both Chinese and Russian governments, being listed as one of the key supporting projects of Russia-China bilateral trade and local cooperation summit by State Ministry of Commerce. It is a big platform integrating Chinese product wholesale, exposition and trade, legal customs clearance, financing and logistic and so on. The Center enjoys a very convenient transportation, with only 20km to Moscow International Airport, and easy access to many expressways, and being built into a model platform of transformation and upgrade of China & Russia bilateral relationship.
