Since the operation of Jing-Hu(Beijing to Shanghai) Hi-speed Railway，people in Shaoxing start to focus their attention on Hang-Yong (Hangzhou-Ningbo) Hi-Speed Passenger Line project. According to our reporter, the trial operation will be implemented early next May and officially put into use next June. At that time, the old dream of “one-or-two-hour railway transport circle” will be realized in Yangtze River Delta.
A few days ago, our reporter visited the construction site of the Keqiao Station project, which is the auxiliary project for Hang-Yong Passenger Line.
Keqiao Station is located in the northwest of Jinghu District, adjacent to Shaoqi Road in the west and linking to Kepao Highway, with a total investment of 1.256 billion yuan. Keqiao Station integrates passenger distribution center, bus station complex, underground parking garage, and taxi waiting area for the convenience for passengers.
The underground parking garage is located under the square, with a total area of 46,000 m2. Taxi waiting area is located at the north exit of Keqiao Station, with 6 traffic lanes and a capacity for 60 taxis. The passenger distribution center is mainly for the transfer for passengers from Xinchang, Zhuji etc. Keqiao Station not only serves as a transportation center, but also a leisure square.
Hang-Yong Hi-Speed Passenger Line starts from the East Hangzhou Railway Station to Ningbo, travelling through many other cities including Xiaoshan, Keqiao, Jinghu District, Paojiang Industrial Zone, Shangyu, Yuyao, Cixi, with a total length of 142.467 kilometers and the planned speed hitting 250-350 km per hour.
Hang-Yong Hi-Speed Passenger Line will be connected with the railway network including Yong-Tai-Wen (Ningbo-Taizhou-Wenzhou) Railway,Hang-Ning (Hangzhou-Ningbo) Railway, Hu-Hang (Shanghai-Hangzhou) Railway, Jing-Hu(Beijing-Shanghai) Railway, and Hang-Chang (Hangzhou-Changsha) Hi-Speed Railway which is on the way of construction. The planned speed of 350 km per hour can take passengers to Ningbo from Hangzhou in 26 minutes.
