On Aug. 15, China professional fashion designers shook hands with fabric suppliers of China textile city for the second time on the 26th floor, innovation building. Since the first round result of China Professional Fashion Designers Creative Design Contest held by our county just came out, the top 30 short-list designers came to Keqiao for the second time to source the suitable fabrics ready for the final contest.

In the eastern side of the meeting room displayed the design drafts made by Top 30 designers in the fist round of the contest, in which the fashion models were very vivid; in the northern side was a small fabric display area, quality fashion fabrics displayed in the booth. Fabric suppliers and designers had a face-to-face meeting on the theme of fashion, fabric, creativity, and crisis and rebirth.

The top 30 designers made speech on their turn. In their creative world, the quality of heavy metal stood for “changes”, woolen fabrics meant the miracle of “rebirth”, the lustrous and gorgeous quality of silk fabric can interpret as “recollection” after the crisis, rosy red and dark blue stood for a new star of rebirth…… However, when talking about the fabrics they needed, lots of designers said, “finding suitable fabrics is always the difficult we have to face.”.

Hearing what the designers said, the owners of fabric companies were eager to express their opinions. “The fabrics you are looking for can be found in our China textile city. We hope you can visit our company. ” “Keqiao’s fabrics have improved greatly. These fabrics are designed by ourselves. We hope we can have more opportunities to cooperate with fashion designers.”

30 companies displayed nearly a thousand of fabric varieties different from each other. Designers were very surprised about it. T400 and Rou Lisi of Yu Yue Textile, silk of Sierdan, Chiffon gauze of Feixun Textile……these fabrics looked like the same on their appearances, but due to special technical processes, the fabrics appeared quilt different effect. These fabrics seldom can be seen in the domestic market, it was out of designer’s expectation. They all asked for the samples.

Wang Jing, a designer from Guangzhou, were searching for a kind of velvet fabric. Now, he finally found it. He was very pleased at finding a new place to source fabrics and seeing many fabrics never met before. He said he would become a frequent visitor of China textile city.
