China Textile City, a First Choice for Textile Enterprises from Other Cities

       In Old Market, the staff members of Keqiao Sales Department of “Hetai Textile” are constantly using two mobile phones, with one phone in Cantonese accent and another Mandarin. “We established a booth in Keqiao only a few days ago, which made us so busy.” Mr. Wen, the manager of Hetai told our reporter.

   Located in Guangzhou, “Hetai Textile” set the sales department in Keqiao in 2009, which resulted from the boss realizing that China Textile City has opened new markets through upgrading and renovation. “With the reputation in the world, China Textile City has large radiometric power. It is a good choice to set a booth here.” Mr. Weng said, “With more selling channels, there will be more business.”  Our reporter found, many textile enterprises from other cities including “Wujiang Yatai Textile”, “Hangzhou Runxiang Silk” have the similar consideration to select Keqiao for it has strong radiometric power.

   China Textile City has been on the way of rapid development in recent years. Both the turnover volume in the market and foreign representative offices increase year by year. More and more textile enterprises from other cities including Guangzhou, Wuxi, Hangzhou etc., take Keqiao as an important location for their marketing layout. They set offices in China Textile City. Mr. Xu Lixin, a person in charge of business introduction of Dongsheng Road Market, remarked that many enterprises from cities like Guangzhou, Shenyang, Jiangsu show great interest in China Textile City. Taking Dongsheng Road Market as an example, though it sets up quite a few standards for the new comers, operators from other cities account for about 40% in B Zone.

   Wuxi Tongzhou Dyeing and Pringting Co., Ltd set up an office in China Textile City in July, 2008. Mr. Xu Jiang, the person in charge of Keqiao Office, told our reporter their eyed to overseas market mostly in the past. However, with the eruption of financial crisis, their export trade has been affected dramatically. After that, they adjusted the operation method and tried to open up domestic market. “We had many clients from Keqiao in the past who can make us communicate easier after setting up an office. With such a big customer flow, we can get more new purchasers.” Xu Jiang said.
