Shaoxing county has passed the national inspection of county level economic informationization, which is the first in China. 　　 Experts from the Ministry of Industry and Information inspected Shaoxing administrative supervision center, Zhejiang Textile Industry Institute, Zhejiang Yuzhan Printing & Dyeing Co., Ltd and Shaoxing Agricultural Information Center, then investigated the work of digital city management system, technological innovation of textile, dyeing industry and farmer mailbox and so on, and attended report hearings on related work. 　　 Since October 2006, Shaoxing county is listed as “County Level Economic Informationization Pilot Base”, Shaoxing county forges ahead the development of eight informationization projects whose total investment hit RMB 0.106 billion Yuan, telephone penetration rate 47.2 lines per hundred persons, cable television fixing in families over 98%, and the internet users 8.29 households per hundred persons at the end of 2007. E-commerce platform of textile industry and high technology plays a crucial role in structure modulation of market and upgrading of textile industry. Achievements include the accomplishment of Urban Geographical Information System (UGIS) of Keqiao Demonstration Plot with an area of 10 square kilometers, the construction of Urban Management Information System (UMIS) with an area of 20 square kilometers, and the establishment of 396 agriculture information service sites. 　　 The expert group unanimously agree on the pass of the inspection and examination since Shaoxing county has completed each task in Shaoxing County Economic Informationization Sample Program. They also hope Shaoxing county will further its work and spread the experience in China.
